During his 12 year tenure he was selected to be the team physician for the Tulsa Oilers of the East Coast Hockey League and Tulsa Shock of the Women’s National Basketball Association as well as numerous local football, volleyball, and hockey leagues. Dr. Markman is an expert in shoulder reconstructive surgery including but not limited to joint replacement.

Education & Training: Dr. Bruce Markman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in Sports Medicine / Arthroscopy & Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Markman earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University where he graduated 2nd in his class. He went on to complete his internship for general surgery at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center the 8th ranked best hospital in the United States. He then completed his orthopedic residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center and ultimately obtained his fellowship at the West Coast Center for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
