    Jean Louis Benae, MD
North Texas Brain & Spine Specialists

Dr. Benae believes in a comprehensive approach to spine care. His patient care philosophy not only includes a minimally invasive approach, but he always covers possible non-surgical aspects and treatments first.

It is crucial to Dr. Benae that he considers all possibilities before being open to more aggressive approaches, surgical and otherwise. When it comes to his thoughts on minimally invasive surgical approaches, the doctor will always correct the patient’s problem, while respecting a person’s regional anatomy.

Educating patients is another important aspect of Dr. Benae’s patient care philosophy. It is essential and important that patients actively participate in making decisions about their own care.

Taking time with each and every patient is one of the first ways to ensure that patients have information about all facets of the types of care they need. Dr. Benae often works with other doctors of the patient to complete a thorough treatment plan.

To summarize his patient care philosophy, Dr. Benae believes treatment providers should include ,“listening to the patient, caring for the patient, and doing the right thing for each and every patient.” The doctor also strives to be a true healer, which often means going beyond the technical ability of surgery.

My experience with Dr. Benae was wonderful. He just made me feel at ease when I first walked in. He explained everything to me so that I could understand. He was very clear and made sure that I understood what he was telling me. I just love him as a doctor!

He is very intelligent, he got to my problem where five other doctors could not. He takes time with you in his office and goes into great detail, I appreciate that. As a nurse I would recommend him to anyone with spine problems. I have been a nurse for 37 years and I don’t just go to any doctor.

He was very intriguing. Right from the very start he was very compassionate, professional and concerned. He was concerned about me as a person. He wanted to get to know me as a human being. It was more about the patient. Overall, I just felt like I was in great hands.

I had a very positive experience. I was at the end of my rope before I saw Dr. Benae. He is an extremely good listener. He explained everything from what was causing the issue to what he was going to do to treat me. He delivered what he said he would and more. The very next day after surgery I was up and walking around.
