Education & Training: Dr. Benbow completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Los Angeles Spine Surgery Institute with Drs. Robert Watkins and Lytton Williams, formerly of the famed Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. During his one-year fellowship, Dr. Benbow focused on sports-related spine injuries in professional and collegiate athletes, along with treatment of degenerative spine disorders and minimally invasive treatments involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. While in fellowship Dr. Benbow conducted research on the PRODISC?, Artificial Disc Replacement during the FDA study. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Benbow completed his orthopedic residency and internship, and received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with honors prior to medical school matriculation.
