San Antonio Facial Plastic Surgeon Jose E. Barrera, MD is triple board certified in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, neck, and airway. He serves as an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. In 2010, Dr. Barrera was nominated as the 1000th Diplomat Award for his humanitarian and reconstructive efforts while deployed to Afghanistan. Dr. Barrera serves patients in San Antonio and neighboring communities in Austin, McAllen, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Pleasanton, El Paso, New Braunfels, and Houston, Texas. Services
Dr. Barrera performs Facial Plastic Surgery procedures including facelift, rhinoplasty (nose job), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), otoplasty (ear pinning), forehead and eyebrow lifts, neck lifts, facial paralysis surgery, and sleep surgery. Non-surgical cosmetic treatments include fillers and injectables for lip augmentation and facial lines. Dr. Barrera offers facial rejuvenation and skin care, including Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Belotero, Sculptra, Voluma, Radiesse, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, and Facial Fat Augmentation. Dr. Barrera also offers Botox, Xeomin and Dysport treatments.
Education & Training
Dr. Barrera is double fellowship trained in Sleep Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Stanford University. He is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and sub-specialty trained in Sleep Medicine.
